How To Conquer The Music Industry

Aspiring bands, artists, musicians, singers, writers, producers you are looking to catch a break? Then you are at the right place. I’m about to bear my soul. Lay it on the line and share with you the secrets no one really talks about.

If you have talent and are struggling to get someone to notice, I can help you. If you want a record deal, I can show you how to get it. I know it may not seem like it now, but making it in this business takes more than getting signed or even having great music.

There are things you need to watch out for, common mistakes that you can avoid that will save you a lot of time, money and pain. And oh yeah, I know it all looks glamorous from the outside, but inside there are blood thirsty sharks that are eager to take you for all they can get.

I will show you what to watch out for. You’ll get the special insider knowledge I have gained from my 17 years as a top performer in this industry. At this point you are probably wondering why I would want to do this.

There are two main reasons. First, I have been where you are. I know what it is like to struggle. I took a bus from Cleveland to Los Angeles just hoping to catch a break. Then I took another bus back to Cleveland just for a chance to meet Eazy-E. I almost didn’t get to see him, but I did.

Easy-E was willing to listen. He liked the sound Bone Thugs-N-Harmony brought to the table. He took us in and showed us the ropes. Easy-E gave us the chance we needed and our first record with Ruthless Records went double platinum. We broke Crossroads on the next one and it went quadruple platinum plus we won a Grammy. I am not saying this to brag, but I want you to know it all happened just like that. One day we were unknown the next we were on top.

It could happen for you too. With the right guidance and a lot of talent you can break in and conquer the industry. Eazy-E helped me and now it is my turn to help you.

That is one reason. Here is the second one. I am looking to develop new talent. I see this as an opportunity to build a network of up and coming artist. If you got what it takes to make it. Then I want to work with you.

So what I am going to do is layout a blueprint that you can follow. Here is the overview:

  1. It all starts with the music – find your lane and perfect your unique sound
  2. Develop your public image- be yourself, but at the same time think deeply about how you are going to present yourself to the public.
  3. Have your team in place – Make sure you surround yourself with the right people before you get signed.
  4. Build a large base of raving fans – We are nothing without our fans.
  5. Pack your shows – Make sure that when you do a show your shows are jammed packed with your fans.
  6. Get the record labels to take notice- You will get a better contract if you get multiple record labels to see you as the hot new sensation.
  7. Make sure you get a good deal- As an artist you have more to consider than just money.
  8. Keep your composure- At this point you are in the music business. Remember it is a business and make sure you don’t get scammed.

I will be elaborating on each of these points on this blog. You can post comments to my blog and let me know about the progress you made and what is going on with your music. One thing I do ask is that you keep this professional. What you do with your music is up to you, but please find better ways to express yourself here than with profanity or vulgarities.

I am speaking to you as an artist and a professional. I do want to hear from you. I do want to see what you are about. I am going to be reading through the comments and replying to them. I will also be inviting others from within the industry to do the same.

I look forward to hearing about your success and hope to see you back soon. Also please go ahead and post a comment below to let me know what you think so far.

**** Note This site is for music professionals. Your comments and links are welcomed. However, we ask that you please do not use profanity or link to music that may be considered offensive.

    Hey Krayzie,

First off, much respect for such an accomplished Artist giving back by doing something great like this. As someone who loves to write and make music as well, I can definitely use the help and strategies, that can guide people like me in the music industry. I sincerely appreciate this, and I will definitely stay posted for all information regarding this great opportunity. Thank you

  3. Cirylsouljah says:

U dont understand wat u and the rest of Bone Thugs -n- Harmony did to my life. I have been laughed at, betrayed, humilated, kicked wen I was down, and even homeless tryin to be my own independent person inspired from followin all of yall words (be REAL wit yaself). If this is truly Krayzie Bone or ANY Bone Thugs -n- Harmony member and or affiliate, I am not lookin for a deal wit any label except YOURS (Mo’ Thugs, The Life, BTNH WORLDWIDE ect) Since ’97 myself and crew at the time have been tryin to rap for u but there was never a show in New Jersey where we live or any surrounding areas where could meet u. All the while tryin to put our “vibe” together we were not able to find studio time. Shortly after we all wound up growin apart sum weren’t real (takin it as a joke) not writin. But honestly Ive kept my head up in belief that this type of opportunity would arise all I faced was doubt but it was always one more obstacle pullin and my dedicated partner DUKE back from bein wit yall like weak producers who wanna charge mad money for they lil nintendo beats or sayin we gonna get hooked up and looked out for wen they never show up, we never gave up on u guys NOT FOR ONE FRACTION OF A SECOND. I understand wat u have been thru to get where u are all we wanna do iz show u iz wat u taught me. I have nothing but my 2yr. old daughter and my notebook that been with me thru my darkest hour so if u EVER contacted wantin to look for talent, very little on this planet will keep me from find you. While still tryin find studio time and learn other aspects of creating music, I still write my lyrics hoping to be signed under your organization. NO game. http://webvideocall.oovoo.com/callme/cirylsouljah/324

  4. Malik BC says:

You are the best rapper ever in my eyes and I dont give a – who think otherwise. Me and my – been doing this for about 4 years we have developed our sound and sent our demos to multiple labels. They never even listened, even took a one way trip on da greyhound to newyork to find roc-a-fella didnt work. we broke so studio time is hard to get. Kray we know ya whole story so I know you can be a great mentor. Lookin foward to make music with you in the future.

  5. Jewel says:

Well, Thanks, I am grateful for this moment. I had a lot of moments that seemed like they were meant to stop me in my tracks. But We serve a good God!!! As I read what you’ve said so far Mr.Henderson “Granddad” (I’m a Fan)that it is going to be a challenge!!! But my Love, Passion, and Talent “Determination” Brought me this far. Its more challenging now, while i don’t have the best studio nor money to invest into production, or recording. While working and going to school full time. I guess the first thing i like to share with you about what you mentioned above. Forgive me if im wrong, But I personally feel that your Group Bone Thugs N harmony, given me a style, cause im from the south, and all we really had that i grew up on was Uncle luke, till the Crossroads dropped. Since I head DIE DIE DIE on east 1999 Ive been a fan. Ive been freestyle rappin since i was 7-8 years old. I’d liked bone music for the Gangsta attitude it had to it. The fast rapping, the harmonizing and most of all, also songs, like what about us, your solo track dont know why, whom die they lie, and so much more…….Thanks Sir! I Appreciate you even before you decided to do this. Being honest with yourself has already done enough for me! AND MILLIONS OF OTHER FANS CAN SAY THE SAME!!!!

    peace and respect

  7. Kray,

I wanted to first and foremost thank you for taking time away from your busy schedule for upcoming producers/singers/artists this is a true blessing to come upon. I’ve been lucky enough to have met and learn from you and the group by participating in all of the think tanks that were hosted. I have learned techniques and styles by listening to you for the past 17 years that evolved me into a style that we can call our own. To keep it short and simple I want to thank you for the opportunity to learn more through this blog, and that it is a privilage because most artists don’t take the time to reach out to their fans like you’re doing now.

  8. Whats good Krayzie? We have talked before on facebook,
Im really loving the idea of this website, Noone else is doing this – its an awesome opotunity for real..

Personaly, Music IS my life, If I wasnt listening and making music I dont know what I would be doing.. Its the one thing that ALWAYS makes me feel better when I’m down.. And since I know music is the thing Im going to pursue in life I have made sacrafices and have been thinking outside the box just to make it happen. During this recession I quit my job to get my diploma in Audio Engineering, As I wish to become a professional Producer and engineer.. And when I say producer I dont mean just make beats. I mean a real producer..
I have started up, and recently registered my own company “UTL Media Ltd.” and I am pushing that as hard as I can. I am currently producing for 6 vocalists on UTL, and a variety of other known vocalists in my town. I have taken the first big step and will not turn back.
My business partner and I are currently Writing up a business plan to get a loan from the bank to open up our own Recording Studio.. Nothing too extreme that we cant afford to pay back, just enough to start putting in Engineering work for other musicians of all genres, and then hopefully make enough money to expand into a fully professional studio.

All this work Im doing as a producer is to help aspiring vocalists who want a step up into the industry, If they have passion and heart I will help them by producing songs, mixtapes and albums for them for NO charge…
Currently I am unemployed, saving all my money for CD duplication, Gig poster printing, to help get these artists names out there and push them for a chance to get signed so they can live a better life.
The artists I work with usualy come from the worst places in my town hoping to sucseed, and thats what I am trying to do as a producer.

To me, Bone Thugs N Harmony has been the BIGGEST inspiration on not just my music, but my life. The words in the songs have helped me through hard times, as they have for many people.. The passion and hunger you had coming into the game – knowing what you wanted and making sure it happens.. THAT is what keeps me going, I want something, I only have one life to get it.. so its ALL or nothing..

Also you taught me a very good lesson im sure even you didnt realise you would do.. You guys were inovaters, made your own sound for your name.. Thats amazing.. You have alot of people, dedicated fans who aspire to be like you through music.. but I see it differently, I want to be like you in your minds, infact I am.. I dont want to copy your sound, or anyone else’s sound.. I wana “pull a bone thugs” and make my own sound! ..Thats the biggest part you inspired me with.. Be myself, and be good at it, and make others wana do what you do.. like you guys did.

    Much love from New Zealand

My utmost thanks goes to you for taking the time to do this. I do believe that it takes persistance and determination to make it in whatever you do, however, I also think that you have to be creative and innovative to stand out and be unique. I believe that I have all the “tools and parts to build a car, I just need someone to build it” I think that your fanbase will determine how unique you really are as an artist and place you in a catagory in the music industry. I really appriciate what you are doing for upcomming artist, producers, and writers. I look forward to your feedback and future blogs.

Since a young kid i’ve been a writer. Strong quotes and proverbs have never failed to fascinate me. I was always with a notebook handy writing some rhymes or ideas down. Im 22 now, finishing school this year, and in the last year I’ve come to an age where im confident in what im talking about, confident in how to put lyrics to a song, and can really defend my art. I can write about society, the future of society through music and improving my own self concept to be able to market myself, my words, and my goals with these projects. as i mentioned i’ve always been passionate about writing but rapping, recording and mixing have been all new areas of study and practice and i can see it is truly a project(s) that take months of hard work. to be honest the rapping style i’ve kind of adopted has just been coming naturally. whatever flow i get from the running through the instrumental i just go with.

  35. Vinni Brown says:

    Sup Kray,
Like many, I have been one of your most loyal and dedicated fans from the first time I heard Bone. You know very well how much Bone Thugs n Harmony fans love yall and first off I just wanted to thank you for blessing us with the sound of Bone Thugs n Harmony. Many of us can’t live without it.
I am a rapper/mc from New Zealand and have received great applause from both local and global areas for my talent in making music and I couldn’t have done it without the inspiration I drew from Bone Thugs n Harmony. I wanted to blow up like all underground rappers do but have recently lost the fire to continue with making music whilst trying to juggle work, sports, personal life and all types of extra curricular activities. I guess I’m at a crossroad right now trying to decide which path to walk down but one thing I know is that Bone will eternally be in me.
This blog has re-awoken my desire to become a recording artist and make money doing what I truly love which is make music..

I just want to thank you Kray for being such an inspiration and also making an attempt to get someone else into the game out of the kindness of your heart which shows what a true, genuine person you are.

Krayzie Bone you are truly The Greatest.

Vinni Brown aka The Venomous Flow.

  41. Danie Starr says:

Hey Krayzie, I was just wondering as an up & coming artist what would be the best approach to take, to get my music out there, but on a budget. Should I build an awsome you tube fan base like you did, or what. I have been trying for a while now to finish songs but people be on some un-professional nonsense, so you know how that goes, so I’m on my own at this point, I just got fed up with dealing with inconsistant “producers” allegedly? so I’m building my own studio in my basement. I have all the beats in my head just got to get them out, so I’ve been studying “Froot Loops” now and recording some you tube footage of me singing but…. Do you have any other advise, it would be greatly appreciated, Much Love N Thanks! Starr

i do have a question, how do you go about politickin when you really don’t wanna talk to people? Id prefer to make music and avoid the limelight. Is that possible?

  49. JJ aka Cerberus says:

Man, I dont know what to say. I mean I’ve been wanting to be signed under BTNH since I started making music. I do it all, or atleast try to, I write, Produce, rap, sing a little, play piano, Engineer (mix and master). Tryng to get on “Prince” status I guess. I formed my own group which lasted for about a year called .357. We came out with an EP, but we pretty much broke up after high school. So now its just me. Im currently working with 2 long time friends, Naptime(of No Drought Ent.& Entity Ent.), and Patchy Pimpin’. Along with some of their friends as well. We’re all from St. Louis by the way.

I’ve always thought BTNH was/are the greatest rap group ever,no matter how many people looked at me as if I was a fool. And I truly believe that Krayzie Bone is the greatest rapper of all time, but thats my opinion, and I wont hesitate to argue it. I’ve only seen Bone twice in my life. Once when they came to St. Louis for the DUB Auto Show. Hell, we didnt give a —- about the cars or girls, it was all about Bone. Me and my cousin had a min or two to walk and talk with Layzie hoping to get to maybe rap for them, but that evidently didnt happen. Wish was cool, Bizzy wasnt there, I tried to talk to Krayzie but when my cousin approached him, Krayzie pushed him away and kept walking. NO LIE!! It was the funniest thing EVER. My cousin was pissed, but ’til this day I still make fun of him about it.

The second time they came and performed at a place called POP’S. Once again, me and my cousin was there holding it down. But sadly we didnt even get to meet ‘em that time. But we did get a chance to holla’ at Keef G when it was over for about 10 mins. I still have his emai address, but the only reason I have’nt sent anything is that I felt that my music wasnt ready yet.

But yeah, all I want is an ear to listen to what I have. And hopefully I’ll be good enough, ya’ know. I have’nt put next to nothing of my own music online. But a friend of mine has music that I’ve produced and engineer’d. http://www.reverbnation.com/naptime .
Then again I do have the last song that I recorded with me on it on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCWyeUWPWR4 . I have the second verse. So check me out and my folks, I guess. I know its like a one in a million shot I’ll get noticed, but I am gonna try. And hoping that this will help a whole lot.

  50. Lil Oz says:

Thank you kray for this it’s a big opportunity for me. I’ve been waiting for this for a long struggling time. I have my own music group Filthy Family , 5 artist in it. 4 rappers one of the rappers can also sing and we have 1 singer. We write our own and make our own beats. I’ll do whatever it takes for that deal. I wish I can meet with you and work with you to show you how I get down and spit my lyrics. I also tongue twist. I’ve been writing for about 3 years I was 14 years old. Right now I’m 17 years old with great talent. It’s gonna be 2 years since I made the group and we’re all talented. We work hard we struggle just like everyone else.everyone in the group has their own style too. I can send you some songs if you want. My email is filthyfamily209@yahoo.com
I really appreciate this kray real talk. Ima make it happen if you give me the chance.

  51. Patrick king says:

Hey kray… Much luv and respect for this. I’ve been a bone fan since 4th grade. Growin up I was a fanatic. But through the years I’ve grown uP and realized there’s more to the gAme than just music. Ive been aware of all the mistakes bone made as young men just egar to get signed. They way the industry took advantage of you and you desperation. With 50 million albums sold there’s no reason u should of made more money than u did. Independent is the way to go now in the industry. Companies like tech n9ne strange music shows that. I’m from Kansas city and am very awRe of their success. The bone thugs fan base is HUGE and I think bone could do fine as a independent group and thug line as a label… God bless and much success …

  52. Danie Starr says:

Hey Krazyie, hey everybody quick qusetion how does an artist find their lane being so versital and multi-talented vocally? And an update for me and where I am I had an interview yesterday for a local TV show which is actually broadcast in over 156 countries and has 1 million 6 viewers…It was the “Playa T That’s Me Show” they are haveing a talent concert coming up soon in Cleveland, Ohio intitled F.A.M.E (fashion art music entertainment)the show was dope, and I just recently started seeking out modeling agencies, just got back in the gym not much more now. I am a multi talented artist so I must be the total package. My background is fashion, I could hav been modeling but I was always the designer, so now that I’m finally going to be singing on my own music I thought it only fitting to do it all. They are all one in the same. I have a scheduled studio appointment Monday with the Sound Lab in Cleveland, Ohio, the producer I was working on my single with last week abruptly had an emergency and had to stop production….hhhhaaaa is this song every going to get finish? Yes it is patience I’m working on it. I guess I can’t exspect everyone else to be as serious about my music and modeling career as me, so I be running into that a-lot. At first it had me second guessing myself, but then I realized everyone doesn’t have integrity get over it. God is going to provide the perfect opprtunities for me to do what I came to do. So lol like I said how does a multi-talented artist hoon their craft, my voice is strong with plenty of range, soulful, rockish, classical, country, pop. I go off the beat of the music and whatever it needs I bring it.

  53. Lil Ric says:

First Off I would like to think U for taking on the role as a mentor if I could pick anyone it would be U, I’ve been trying to get my music noticed for years I’ve been doing good locally with CD sales and air play but nothing major. I’ve had 1 record company interested, but it fell throw unknown reasons. I’ve traveled around to companies and mailed CD’s out, but was told to wait with no response after. My question to U is what am I doing wrong? and how can I fix it?

    • Eric G says:

You may not be doing anything wrong. The industry has changed and labels are afraid to take chances. The best thing you can do is build off what you already have done.

Take a look at Kray’s Facebook page for Conquer The Industry. We haven’t launched but you can get a sneak peak when you like the page. The video answers your question in detail and also discusses what Kray is looking for in talent he wants to produce. We also plan on opening up a channel for artist that are VIP members to get their music reviewed by Kray’s label. So stay tuned!

  56. C~Ray says:

This is C~Ray. I’m an aspiring artist. Born in Cleveland, mostly raised in Houston. I have been a music fan all of my life. From the 80s new wave, 80s soft rock and rock n roll, 80s rap to the 90s era of rap and current day rock, rap rock and so on. I knew about you all just growing up in the Cleveland area and we have always trived on our unique sound and our indiviuality. Bone is my favorite act of all time and its no reason why you guys shouldn’t get the respect you deserve. I know a lot about this industry by expierience and observations. I know how dirty and rough it can be which is way it’s vital to gain as much knowledge as possible. I can’t tell you how much Bone has changed my life. I too am a struggler and know the harshness of reality which why I look up too you guys so much. I pattern myself after you all just in the way i grew up, carry myself and the style of music I am so in tune with. I embody what good stands for and what Trues Humbling United Gathering Souls stands for. I am what this industry needs to hear from my unique creativity to my spritiuality. I honestly want you personaly to take me under your wing and teach every in and out of this industry and I won’t let you down. I always thought I would be a football player that was me. As I got older I realize it wasn’t meant for me. It’s what my family wanted. I have been writing poetry and songs since I was 7. I am a published poet and I have won awards for my poetry and one of my poems was even a teaching point for high school english classes. I know I have talent and I know what you as not only my guide and mentory but also to be like family, I know I can flourish. I look at you and I see who I am and who I always thought I would be. Bone has saved my life from the brink of destruction and I would be proud to be a part of the fraternity. I have lyrics that are heart felt, soulful, mystical, creative, dark, intelligent, reliveant, honest and everything else you would expect from a true emcee. I pour my heart out to you because this is my mission in life. I know it. To create and help people and to be a Bone. Thanks Bone for everything you done for me.

  75. Chris says:

Hey thank you for the oppurtunity sorry I been bad at getting back. I’m a huge fan of Bone Thugs & I am glad that they did not really go mainstream. As for the email I got from you, I just wanted to ask, I mean it said regarding profanity not to use it and I can do that.

My only thing is, it said not to send a direct link to any offensive material songs right. Well I mean, I can follow any rules that you got for the sight but I do gotta say, that when it comes to making usic, if I was rapping, I would hope I’d be able to express myself. Now true I have to express myself in ways other than profanity but I think either extreme is bad.

To rely on profanity or to censor myself. As as an underground rapper in the making, I’m always trying to improve on my skills. I am not yet on a level of skill with the freestyle to where I can just kicc rhymes off the top of my head.

I’m still working on that but I got no problem writing lyrics down. That is easy. Anyway because my skills at freestyle are still a work in progress I haven’t made any links or even gotten any studio time because I want to make sure if I do, I’m bringing those hard core flows.

A little about myself: I’m Irish & Native American but I consider myself Native & relate to it even if I’m only half. I lived in Watts for a while but mainly up in Seattle in the 206 and in the 253 areas of Washington’s hoods as well.

If I made it I’d rep Seattle as my city even though I got luv for L.A. because Seattle doesn’t really get too much recognition for its Hip Hop artists even though they got a huge underground scene.

Plus they aint college middle class types, they actually have hoods too despite how the city gets shown by shows like Frasier. Anyway once I can get my skills up I will try and see what resources I can use where I’m at to get some studio time and start kicking freestyles.

A big reason I want to rap is that as a Native American, A Seneca, I feel that we live in hoods just as much as anybody else & I wanted to tell it from our perspective, mine as an Urban Indian.

Anyway please hit me bacc on the part about offensive lyrics because if its just a matter of 1st impression and trying to have that be a jumping point, no problem, however I would say while I can get a message across without profanity, I sometimes have just as much as the late Eazy E.

    R.I.P.

Despite being a newer rapper at the age of 19, I don’t do mainstream music. Its gangsta rap with politically conscious rap too. That’s what my content is. Maybe in that sense, that’s why most rappers I listen to are 90′s rappers. I just don’t think the guys of today have anything real to talk about but I do. I’m trying to bring the lyrics with mo substance bacc

I would hope to have songs as controversial as Ice Cube or Public Enemy. Anyway, I don’t got a cell I can be reached at but I did leave my email & my site so anyway much luv for what you’re doing.

    Peace out & God bless.

    Salaam Aleekum

  87. What’s up Ant!! So I haven’t been able to get on here to keep you updated due to being so busy, but I’m taking the time to be sure that I get that done right now to keep you posted with my progress.. First off, I want to thank you again for inviting me to the Cabana; I wish I had more notice so that there wasn’t such a panic in trying to make it there, but I’m grateful for getting any notice at all. By the grace of God I had a friend that made a way for me to get there within a weeks’ notice when I had no way on my own. It reminded me of when you said that you had to go to L.A. for your chance to meet EASY and he took you under his wing. I was the guy that stood by your table with the white hustler t-shirt & jeans while you were getting things organized with Maria, and from the moment I got there there was confusion because the order of things had gotten changed around. I don’t know if you remember our conversation, but you told me that you would review my submission this week and to just kick-it with y’all. That’s just what happened & I truly appreciate you showing me love like that.. After the show, I chilled with Wish, Keef, and The Position for a while. At the chevron, I was with Keef and you told him were going home, so I thanked you again. After that me & Wish chilled and talked til about 4 or 5 in the morning just talking. I got to express to him how much of a miracle it was for me to be there, and he did the same by expressing to me how much of miracle it was for him & BUCK to be there too.. After that he took off with Kiana & I sat in the car with BUCK until he woke up. When BUCK woke up, I let him know where Wish went & then he went up to his room.. I was supposed to go to the casino on Sunday, but when I got there BUCK told me that you guys left. He was going to text me the address to where you guys went, but I wouldn’t have been able to go there & make my flight in time. Lord knows that if I had a way to book a later flight, I certainly would have!! To me, that whole experience was amazing & I appreciate you for even making that possible.. As for my progress, here’s a little background info first. I’ve been working at getting the right start in UTAH because the average person doesn’t know or understand how great the market for music is there. I’ve had missed opportunities to really be heard and travel with some big names, but due to the folly of other artists I was working with – they ruined incredible chances for us all. This time around there’s no excuses; I’m doing whatever I have to on my own so that I can capitalize properly on any opportunity that presents itself. It’s been working thus-far & my biggest obstacle has been a lack of resources, or the money to acquire those resources. This time around I’ve been doing everything by the book and fighting every temptation to do anything illegal to have to funds needed to utilize certain resources. To get a better understanding of what I mean, look at Lil Wayne for instance. There’s a major difference in his skill level from the first time he came out to now. That’s because since he first came out with Hot Boys he’s been getting paid, which allows and has allowed him nothing but time to perfect his craft. I used that example because from then to now he has had the resources needed to accomplish what he has to date. Now of course I want to make millions, but that is not what’s important to me. What’s important to me is being able to do this full-time. Really being able to put my all into this without having to work an 80hr a week job just to make ends meet. I want to really help people with my music & not just make something for them to dance to. That’s my ultimate goal and I know that once that is accomplished, every other goal to be accomplished & everything else will fall into place.. As for what I’m doing right now, every complete song that I recorded solo over the course of the past 6-7yrs has been lost, so I uploaded whatever collaborations I could find onto myspace, and also the latest two songs I recorded March 13, 2011 called “Dolla Day Remix” & “You Don’t Want None”. As I record more tracks I will be uploading them as well. I’ve also been told about other avenues online where I can upload my music and increase my fanbase or expand my audience, so I’m working on that too. For most of the popular clubs in SLC and Park City, Utah, my friends are the promotional directors, so I’m working with them to set up future shows. I’ve done many shows over the past 8 years & there hasn’t been one time that I haven’t rocked the crowd, so they’re eager to get me set up at their venues. So aside from that, I’m working towards getting the money for photo-shoots & promotions. I went to school for business administration, so I’m aware of how to utilize what I know in regards to marketing, sociology & interpersonal communication. I wish that I could represent “The Life” when more of my efforts & performance comes to the forefront, but I know that I have to be patient in that regard in hearing from you, and just continue to represent my city and myself until that time comes if it ever does.. So that’s where I’m at right now, and I can’t thank you & Wish enough for doing this whether I work with you personally or not. Meeting you was a major boost for me because Bone and 8ball & MJG are my greatest influences with music. Thank you for your time.

    JB A.K.A. “J.B.-U.N.I.Q.”

  88. DesertEagleTraum says:

First and foremost, Thanks again for the opportunity. Not many people offer such help, and if they do, most of them just scam you out of your money and as an unsigned artist I am willing to invest whatever I have into myself because Im a high believer in myself. Ive been rapping for 16years now as an unsigned artist. I remember when Bone Thugs first hit the scene, first of the month really killed it! Definite banga! I am really hoping some good comes from this because it is really hard to get label attention in a city like Charlotte NC because of all the hatred our unsigned artist holds against each other. He wants to be better than him instead of coming together making the city bang, it just runs the music execs away! I am DesertEagleTraum of Tha Kingz. I have multiple videos online, you can find my music almost everywhere on the net. Here is a link to my video, Cross My Heart, Its a solo song I done about 3months ago and it already has over 20,000 hits, thanks to my fans in Germany, UK, London, and Tiblishi Georgia. Shouts to Young Mic over in Tiblishi and Nick T. over in Germany. Here’s the link, listen to this song as well as watch the video. If you can, Please leave a comment. Thanks and goodluck to all!. 89. DragonX says:

Man, this is down right realism right here. It’s one major blessing to hear, see, know (from your favorite artists’ perspective) that struggle most of us have been through. Thanks for endowing us with that seldom-seen knowledge, Kray. People out here be trying to get a record deal so quick that it don’t even make no sense. I’ve seen artists like youself, Lupe, Chamillionare, etc. go through it with these labels and I know that the game can do you wrong in tons of ways. Projects that were capable of more than what they did in numbers and I know at least eight times out of 10 that it was an internal conflict cause by the industry’s move making. And it makes me realize that there are people in the industry that don’t know nothing about music, but telling you how to do your music: the ruination of art. That’s why I wasn’t so quick to try to have myself affiliated with just anybody or any record label, because I took heed to these successful artists and legends and their stories. I stay in the southeast region, and its hard for me because I expand my omniscence towards all types of music and not just south music: plus I don’t express southern ways on tracks like these rappers nor do I want to like they do because I find that my poetry would be limited like most of them. Bottom line, I ain’t trying to be picky because time waits for no one, but i’ve been surrounding myself by the right, positive people like yourself, Kray, and that’s how I want to keep it, although it might not always be that way with one forever, but I will do my best to have control of that. I’m always making great music from different angles; I do clean and dirty style because I treat music like life: there is a time and place for everything. So to whoever sees this link, please check me out. It won’t be a waste of time to you, and if you leave feedback I will do the same. Peace, love, and blessings to all.

This is a amazing opportunity, to get feedback from a professional (Krazyie Bone) that has accomplished so much. I’ve been a fan of Krayzie and the rest of Bone Thugs since I was young and their music still influences mine to this day.
For anyone questioning if this program is legit, trust me it is. I’ve been a part of Conquer The Industry mentoring program and a fast track member for a little over the month and I can already see the difference it is making in my music and the way I market it, also how to establish Monster Mill as a brand!

Bone Thugs N Harmony are the realest on the hip hop planet point blank. I think from the creepn on a come up to the resurrection album will last forever like 2pac music. It’s easy nowadays to rap about selling dope when rappers probably didn’t do it or killing a thousand of people when they probably never shot a gun, so I make real life music. Many people have told me they really enjoy it, and I wanted to get some feedback on the idea from people here. I have some stuff online but I’m reluctant to post it here because none of it is original.
